Booking Lift passes for your Ski Holiday

Planning

When looking at the cost of your holiday when getting quotes, don't forget that you will all need to buy a lift pass. The price you have been quoted will leap significantly when this is added on.

Although you do not have to buy these when making a booking and you can buy them in the resort or off the tour operator on your coach transfer or in the resort, but we would advise that you buy these when booking your holiday. The tour operators sell the lift passes at the same price that they are in the resort so save yourself the hassle!

I can never understand that when we are on the transfer coach, maybe enjoying the scenery, reading a book or trying to catch up on sleep because of an early flight, that there are people buying lift passes and booking Ski lessons on the coach.

When booking lift passes, look at the area that they cover, there will usually be a local pass and an area pass. For your first holiday you may only need a local pass, but get advice off your tour operator. It is usually possible to upgrade these passes to cover the full area if you get skilled enough to venture further afield.

Look out for 2 for 1 deals on lift passes, some tour operators will offer this on early bookings, also if you are not booking a package and are organising your own transport, it is possible to get free lift passes with accommodation.
